Robin and I have begun to plan for the next treasure hunt. We’ve started coming up with some really cool ideas! The first one was definately a learning experience and we hope this next one is better!

We are looking at the hunt to be either September 22nd or September 29th. Please let us know which one works better for you. We will begin contacting property owners again to find out who is available and wants to participate in the treasure hunt! If you are interested, please let us know!

Thanks to Robin and Nichole, for doing a great job with the Treasure hunt.  You guys have shown that it is possible to make something happen and I salute you for it.  I am just sorry I missed most of the hunt since I had some malware pop up and it totally messed me up.  I hope your next Treasure hunt will just as great if not better.

Also I want to say to DJ Hotmama Micheals, Lady you are one classy act. And we love you for it.  Thanks for being such a great asset to the TSO community.  You rock Lady :)

Anyone wanting to be a property in the next treasure hunt, please contact either Robin or myself!  It took 1 week to plan for the first one, so the next one won’t be for a couple weeks… looking at mid september sometime.  Let us know and let us what day of the week works for you.

Last night’s treasure hunt was a lot of fun and quite interesting! Daw was off to a great start and kicked everyone’s butts! She quickly figured out the clues and went to the properties. At one point, she was 2 properties ahead of everyone! Daw was the first person to the final property, so Congrats to Daw, she’s also a winner!!

For property owners and everyone that didn’t get to participate, here were the clues:

“Pizza Time!” Which went to Wen’s property: Beach Pizza

“Its a bird! Its a plane! Its superman! Oh wait, its just a cheetah” Kit who had a cheetah on her roof

“Win or lose… you just have to spin the wheel” Marcella who has a casino property

“LexINNgton” Brenda who owns LEX INN

“Life is like 2 peas in a pod” Paulina and Paul who live at Life Unscripted

“Tweety bird will tell ya later the name of this property, but he will tell you that you can cozy up to any one of the 45 fireplaces!” Christoff Stonerman who has tweety bird on his roof, the name of his property is tellyalater, and has 45 fireplaces on his property!

“This dark kingdom defends the coast!” Keenan who’s property name is Dark Kingdom and lives in the neighborhood CoastalDefense

“If you want to be a bat, you may have to choose a road” Andie who owns Crossroads Plaza

“Loves a beach, but when you die you go to Heaven” Heavely Blessed Deon

“You may have a need for greed but its blue not green” Cliff who owns a money house and his roof is blue

“U will be flipped in this neighborhood” Stevie who’s house is shaped like a U

“Nothing to fear, just a bit of frostbite” Darkhalo who has on her bio that her place is a little scary, and has snowy trees on her property

“Unlike a golden coin you find in the river, this treasure is hidden in a coin” Delta who’s property name is Soveriegn Skills. Definition of soveriegn is a gold coin, and a river is another name for a delta.

The final clue was at Delta’s and it simply said TSO, it was on top of a red star, located next to the computers which meant tsostar.com. We ended up nixing the plaques, but the plaques were supposed to be another clue. Each property owner was signing their name along with a letter so when the hunt was over, it spelt “Go to tsostar.com”
We hope the hunt was fun for all who particpated! All those who participated got 250k if they made it to the end. We are looking for to organzing another treasure hunt. However we know we have some changes to make. If anyone has any suggestions, things they liked/disliked about the first one, just let us know here or let Nichole or Robin know in MF.

Whoo Hoo!! Treasure hunt is tonight at 9:30pm est!  Robin and I have a lot of fun coming up with clues! They are really cool, and I’m thinking I’m going to post them after the hunt is done so all the property owners in the hunt will get to see everyone else’s clue.   We put the clues in order of easiest to hardest. So it will start off really easy and then get harder the further into the hunt you are.

All 15 property owners have been contacted and have been instructed on what they need to do. Any questions make sure to ask Robin or myself!

All players, just a reminder to read the post before this for all the instructions. But just remember, you’ll receive a plaque that you will take with you to all the properties and will need to trade it to the property owner who will sign it.

Please, lets keep this fun, and NO cheating!  If all goes well with this treasure hunt, we’ll have more hunts to come!

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask either Robin or myself!

Treasure Hunt is this Saturday the 25th 9:30pm est!

The treasure hunt will begin at Robin’s property: Khashoggi’s. At Robin’s you will receive a plaque from either Robin or Nichole. You will take this plaque with you to all the properties in the hunt and trade it with the property owner. The property owners will sign the plaque and trade it back to you after you have completed the tasks on the property.

Tasks: Some, not all properties will have tasks to complete. These tasks MUST be completed before you get your plaque back and are off to the next property with your next clue.

The first clue will be given out by either Robin or Nichole. Clues will be given out for you to figure out where to go next. Each clue will clue you about the name of a property, name of the property owner, info in bios, or the house itself either what it looks like or something inside of it. The clues will be located somewhere on the property for you to find.

There are 15 properties that are in the hunt. We selected about half newbies and half older properties. So there may be several properties you have never even been to… good chance for you to get to know the newbies and their place!

The ending prize will be 1 million!  Plus some other prizes, but we won’t announce what they are until we have a winner….

GOOD LUCK!

Be sure to continue to watch in the chance there are any changes or updates!

On Wednesday, August 22nd, our east coast servers will experience some downtime.  The reason for this is because we will be moving the physical server boxes to a new location, and chasing the hamsters around the building.East coast servers are Alphaville, Blazing Falls, Calvin’s Creek, Dan’s Grove, East Jerome, Fancey Fields, and Betaville.

West coast cities are Interhogan, Jolly Pines, Dragon’s Cove, Mount Fuji, Test Center, and Test Center 3.

7 a.m. EDT - All cities will go offline for morning maintenance.

9-10 a.m. EDT - City Selector will come online, but east coast cities will remain offline. That’s just a fancy way of saying you can log into the west coast cities.

5-ish p.m. EDT - East coast cities will come back up.

Let’s all cross our fingers on this move!

Friday Aug. 17th brought us YATM (Yet Another Town Meeting) - Being our second one I think that it’s clear that an in-game meeting is just not the proper venue for a group discussion.  Too much goes on in a busy house and there’s simply no effective means for moderation.  Another thing that has also really bothered me about these meetings is timing.  Everyone must remember that we’re a global community, spanning many different time-zones.  It is impossible to schedule a single meeting in such a way that to accomodate our population. So what to do?  Punt of course :-)  But seriously…

I  think Nichole and Robin have proved that simply taking the bull by the horn and getting an idea rolling is really all it takes.  They’ve taken advantage of this venue by posting ideas about it and soliciting feedback and it seems to be working.  I think the treasure hunt is a great idea and plan to participate.  I know some of you aren’t really into it, and that’s okay too! Remember EVERYONE is more then welcome to post about an idea and use this site as a launch pad for it.

Speaking of being invited.. EVERYONE is also invited to post information about their house parties and events as well.  Remember, this site isn’t limited to Mount Fuji either and I know many of you play several Sims.  (Oh and if your worried about anonymity..  feel free to create a multiple accounts on this site!)

Hope everyone had a great weeking.. more to come!!!!

Robin and I spent several hours hashing out the details of the treasure hunt tonight. Since we had some complaints about the amount of properties involved, we have narrowed the list down to 30 properties for now, and divided into two groups, 15 properties each. The first group of 15 will be notified in the next couple days as Robin and I get clues for the properties. We are looking at either friday the 24th or saturday the 25th as the treasure hunt day. The next group of 15 will get their opportunity the next week (well actually 2 weeks since that weekend is labor day weekend). If all goes well, we will put on more treasure hunts and include the properties we have eliminated for these first two rounds.

Keep watching for more details!
