December officially marked the year where Dodge turned 5 years old. Yes he started playing in Beta and has been playing TSO since then. His skill house Newbies has been on the Map in Mount Fuji forever, and any new player coming to Mount Fuji one way or another had the pleasure of skilling there. It is an Institution that has survived Mount Fuji’s up’s and down’s and will continue to be a big part in the upcoming merge. So in honor of Dodge’s 5 year survival, Mana threw a fantastic Surprise Party on the 30th at her skill lot. Dodge was able to attend, with the help of some of his roomies that wheeled him there . Mana did a great job and was a excellent Hostess. Even though the plan of all sims hiding under the Balloons caused a great deal of chaos and Dodge arrived during the hiding process lot’s of fun was to be had. We had live entertainment with the help of DJDaw over at Dragonwings radio. And even though Dodge was surrounded by a lot of woman that wished him well he still was able to make a few wheelies in his Wheelchair out on the street.
December 31st brought on another Party at Newbies. Garth had the time of his life ringing in the New Year and did a great job with the prizes give-away. Mal and Brooke did wonderful being great Hostesses and making sure all Sims where drinking , eating and be merry. Once again Dragonwings Radio was on hand to help us celebrate, and Daw did a great job even though her voice was slowely leaving her. Hope you feel better Daw :) Hugs where plenty at midnight. And even though we had several time zones present, Mount Fuji residents didnt mind celebrating it over and over again. Since we all know we love parties in Mount Fuji.
So when you come to Mount Fuji, be prepared to meet the oldest living Sim there and to have a good time, because I know I did.

Halloween Party at The Hangout
October 26, 27th starting at 21:00 GMT until whenever each day!

The trick or treating event will take place on October 30th (the day BEFORE halloween). It will begin at 8pm est. DJ Pres will be having a Halloween Party from 9pm to 12mid at his place, so the trick or treating will end at 12mid. This does NOT mean you have to stay at your place if you choose to be a property in the hunt. All it means is there will be a list of properties and who ever is open is who we go to for trick or treating, that way it allows for everyone to go trick or treating. If you are a property in the hunt, your job is simple… you just give out a “treat”!!
These are the properties so far:
Mine, Calista, Rhodd, Robin, Rain Storm, and of course DJ Pres
Please comment if you are interested in being a property!!

Being as Halloween is coming up, Robin and I have decided of doing trick or treating in MF instead of a treasure hunt! It will be very easy and a lot of fun. You will go trick or treating to different houses and end up at a fun halloween party. You will have the complete list of houses that are participating. SO we need houses for the trick or treating! If you are interested in being a property either comment here you’re interested OR contact myself or Robin in MF. Yes if you are a property, you will get to go trick or treating too!!
The more properties the merrier so comment to say you’re in!!

Thanks to Robin and Nichole, for doing a great job with the Treasure hunt. You guys have shown that it is possible to make something happen and I salute you for it. I am just sorry I missed most of the hunt since I had some malware pop up and it totally messed me up. I hope your next Treasure hunt will just as great if not better.
Also I want to say to DJ Hotmama Micheals, Lady you are one classy act. And we love you for it. Thanks for being such a great asset to the TSO community. You rock Lady

Okay, so it’s been a week but I finally got a round tuit and here’s the pictures from Delta’s birthday party and the wedding of Larry and Lindsay.

As you can see I’m experimenting with ways to make this a bit easier. Something tells me that there will me a lot more event photos on the web really really soon. (Yea.. that crazy mind of mine is working again!)
And while I have your ear… eyes? I’m working on the Mount Fuji Social Calendar next!

Last night an ad hoc meeting of the minds took place at Newbie’s. Dodge observed how over the past few weeks we’ve had several rather successful community events.
- Dodge’s Birthday Party
- Mama - Papa Wedding Vow Renewal
- Delta’s Birthday
- Paul’s Birthday
Each event drew such a crowd that roomies constantly had to jump out to let more guests in. One of the key elements that made these parties such a hit was that we all supported each other and avoided running competitive events and by many other lot owners attending.
What has been proposed is host large city-wide parties on a bi-weekly basis. We could take turns hosting and maybe even have several on a given weekend depending on participation. For example a newer lot may have a house-warming type party on a Friday night while an established lot could have a hat party on Saturday night.
The current plan is to establish some sort of calendar on this website (as suggested by those in attendance) to coordinate our efforts.
So what does this do for us? Well for starters, those that have been here for any length of time has seen various Internet radio networks come and go through Mount Fuji. Presumably seeing such a small audience they move on to where the crowds are. If we can guarantee good turn-outs, perhaps we’ll get more DJ support.. which means more good publicity for Mount Fuji as non-residence hear these broadcasts as well!
Another benefit is to be able to give a better impression upon those that do visit our city from out of town. How many times on a weekend have we seen many many red dots on the map but explore to find only 1 or 2 people occupying each house?
So, this is all in the panning stages still and hopefully we can get together and have a more formalized (and better publicized) meeting soon to get the ball rolling.
You’re comments are strongly encouraged here. Keep in mind that this is a community effort. Though Dodge, Paulina and I have perhaps been the most vocal about supporting this effort, none of us are attempting take on any position of authority but rather acting in a more administrative mode managing the logistics of it all.
